The First Descendant to Introduce the Colossus Field Raid in Season 3

Developer gave a preview on what players can expect for Season 3 of The First Descendant. This was during the recently held PAX East 2025.

During the said session, it was Executive Producer Beomjun Lee and Creative Director Min-Seok Joo who hosted the presentation. Season 3 is titled "Breakthrough" as expected to launch this Summer. One of the new content that's coming out is the Colossus Field Raid. This eight-player raid content's massive scale was designed to match the size of Axion. Players can ride their Hover Bike along the vast field and then engage in combat against the Colossus.

New Vehicle

Speaking of the Hover Bike, this new vehicle system is designed for high-speed travel across a massive field. It gives that thrilling sense of speed. The standard Hover Bike can be obtained by simply logging in to the game during Season 3. Each Hover Bike can be upgraded to allow players travel across the battlefield with dynamic movement using boost and jump abilities.

The upcoming update also introduces everyone to the Axion Plains. This new and enormous battlefield was once a promising outpost site that has now been devastated by a Void Storm and overrun by Colossus. Prepare to face new threats not only from artificial creatures but even mutated beasts.

First Official Crossover

In addition to giving a preview of Season 3, there was also a surprise announcement that’s sure to excite everyone. It seems that The First Descendant is set to have its first ever official crossover. It’s with none other than NieR: Automata.

It was mentioned as well that this is merely the start of many IP collaborations in the works.

Other announcements include the release of the “Gilded Death Blossom” skin on May 22. There’s also the TFD Fest for 1st Anniversary which is happening in July. Plans include a showcase, in-game events, and skin design contest, to name a few.
