Summoners War is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. To mark this latest milestone there's going to be new in-game events and even a global fanart contest.
It was back in June 2014 when the mobile version Summoners War: Sky Arena was released. Since that launch, the game has been downloaded at least 200 million times. The version on Steam is Summoners War and came out in January 2024. It works pretty much like the mobile version though it has new features like Artifacts dropped now have MAX power-up levels. The progression structure of summoners has been renewed with the content reward made even better.
Global Competition
Com2uS is hosting a worldwide fanart competition that's open now until June 8. Fans are invited to create artwork in two categories:
- 11th Anniversary Celebration (inspired by the milestone)
- Creative Thinking (or, how Monsters from Sky Island would live in the real world).
Entries can be submitted through the official submission page. Com2uS said they're choosing 100 entrie and awared:
- 10 Grand Prize winners receiving $500 Prize Money + Zeratu Figure + 500 Crystals
- 30 Excellence Prize winners receiving Summoners War Chess Set + 500 Crystals
- 60 Encouragement Prize winners receiving 10 Mystical Scrolls + 300 Crystals
Weekly Missions
There are two new in-game events launched with the first one being the Weekly Missions. Players who can earn as much as 45 Engraved Scrolls along with 30 Engraved Summoning Piece Boxes. Each of the boxes contain up to 100 Engraved Summoning Pieces.
Players can use the Engraved Scrolls and Engraved Summoning Pieces to summon 3★–5★ Monsters (Fire/Water/Wind Attributes). New Summon Lists are released weekly.
Weekly missions also rewards players with 6★ Legend Runes and Reappraisal Stones. This event ends June 2.
Daily Missions
There are also Daily Missions available and those who complete them can collect as much as 500 Transcendence Summoning Pieces. They also get the ability to summon a guaranteed 5★ Monster using 300. Additional milestone rewards include Devilmons, Mystical Scrolls, and Splendid Blessings of Summon.
This one ends July 27.

Summoners War offers the experience of tactical RPG play through different monsters, with each one having unique skills. Overall, there are more than 1500 different monsters grouped in five different attributes which are Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark. The goal is for players to collect as many monsters as you can and try to win battles using their own decks.
