A new update is releasing in ARK: Survival Ascended this June. One of the interesting additions planned is the new island known as Lemnokis.
This massive landmass has a lot of biomes. There’s snowy redwoods and warm redwoods for example. There are also valleys, forests, and even building caves, both big and small. The ocean areas have new deep-sea areas that’s full of resources. There’s also a special new place out in the ocean called The Maelstrom.
However, there are also dangers like Kalydonios & Erymanthian, the first ever duo-miniboss. These massive massive boards attack not only with fire but even poisonous gas.

LiveOps Updates
Aside from the new content to be introduced, Studio Wildcard also gave some update on what's being worked on in ARK: Survival Ascended. For starters, the development team is planning to re-enable mesh detection on Official Astraeos Servers beginning May 19. They shared then when the map was first launched, they temporarily disabled this system as they investigated reports from players of false positives. The upcoming action means that they're now confident it can function better especially with the recent adjustments made.
There's also the plan to return the max player count to 70 per server. When the game was first launched, the players cap on the servers were set at 100 to accommodate the wave of interest. This change also starts May 19.
Sunsetting Servers
The studio also announced that they'll be sunsetting selected inactive official servers. This was done after the development team made a "careful assessment" of the data. The goal has always been to make sure that they're able to deliver the best experience possible. The official servers were made available to give the community that shared space to play without the need for private hosting.
The studio revealed that each time they release new content, they always put more servers as a way of matching peak in user capacity. Over time though some of these servers have become ghost towns with players dropping off and are waiting for the next major content release.
